This privacy policy describes how Skargaarden processes your personal data.  

Who is responsible for your personal data?  

Skargaarden International AB, Södra Kungsgatan 57, 802 55 Gävle, Sweden, is a  Swedish company and is the data controller for the personal data collected and  processed.  

How does Skargaarden receive your personal data?  

Skargaarden collects personal data that you provide to us when you are in contact  with us via our website, email, mail, our social media, when you interact with our  employees, when you place an order or in any other way. This may happen, for  example, when you are a contact person at one of our client companies, suppliers, or partners such as architectural firms, when you subscribe to our newsletters or  when you are otherwise in contact with us or use our services. We also collect  personal data when recruiting.  

Skargaarden may also obtain personal data from other sources if this is necessary,  for example, in order to set up a contract such as credit information or to fulfill  obligations in other respects in relation to you.  

What personal data does Skargaarden process?  

Personal data that Skargaarden may process is contact information such as name,  gender, e-mail address, telephone number, position, electronic addresses and  address information in general, as well as purchase and user-generated data (e.g.  click and visit history on our website). Other personal data that may be processed  are personal identity numbers, account details, CVs, personal letters, photos and/or  other information that you have provided to Skargaarden or that is otherwise  necessary for Skargaarden to be able to fulfil its contacts, commitments, and service  in general towards you. 

For what purposes does Skargaarden process your personal data?  Your personal data may be processed by Skargaarden for the following purposes:

When does Skargaarden have the right to process your personal data? 

Skargaarden has the right to process the personal data necessary for the fulfilment  of Skargaarden’s commitment to you in contractual relations if you have given your  consent to the processing or if the processing is carried out after balancing the  interests with a legitimate interest of Skargaarden. Skargaarden may also need to  process your personal data due to legal obligations in law or regulation.  

Who has access to your personal data?  

Your personal data is used by Skargaarden and by contracted suppliers. The  suppliers then become data processors for Skargaarden. Skargaarden does not  disclose personal data to other companies or authorities unless Skargaarden is  obliged to do so based on an agreement, law, regulation or decision by an  authority, or to protect our rights or the rights of third parties, or if disclosure to third  parties follows from our obligations to you.  

Skargaarden will never pass on or sell your personal data for marketing purposes to  third parties without your consent. 

Object to processing for direct marketing purposes  

You have the right to object to Skargaarden processing your personal data for direct  marketing purposes. If you wish to object to direct marketing, unsubscribe from  mailings by clicking on the unsubscribe link provided in the mailing or by contacting  Skargaarden.

Transfer to third countries  

Skargaarden has a subsidiary in the United States, but no transfer of your personal  data is made to that company if you are located outside of the United States.

How long does Skargaarden keep your personal data?  

Skargaarden saves your personal data for as long as is necessary for Skargaarden to  fulfil the purpose of the processing. 

What rights do you have as a data subject?  

Right of access  

You have the right to request information about what personal data we have stored  about you and how Skargaarden processes this personal data. You also have the  right to obtain a copy of your personal data, a so-called register extract.  

Rectification and deletion  

You have the right to have inaccurate personal data corrected and completed. You  also have the right to have your personal data deleted in certain cases, for example  if it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, unless  Skargaarden has another legal basis for the processing (such as a legal obligation  under the Accounting Act).  

Objection and restriction of personal data  

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in certain cases.  You also have the right to restrict the processing in certain cases, for example if you  believe that the personal data is inaccurate.  

Data portability  

Your personal data that you have provided to Skargaarden may be in portable form.  This means that under certain circumstances they may be moved, copied or  transmitted electronically. In such cases, you may have the right to have these  personal data transferred to another data controller.  

Consent and withdrawal of consent  

In some cases, you have provided consent for Skargaarden to, for example, publish  a photo on social media. If we process your personal data with consent as the legal  basis for the processing, you can withdraw your consent at any time. The withdrawal  does not affect the lawfulness of the processing that took place before you chose to  withdraw.

Requests for access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, data portability and  requests for withdrawal of consent should be sent to info@skargaarden.com. You  also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority for the  processing of personal data, (the Data Protection Authority – IMY).

How is your personal data protected?  

Skargaarden has an ongoing effort to take appropriate technical and organisational  measures as required in each case to protect your personal data and otherwise  ensure that processing is carried out in accordance with applicable law. As an  example of measures, Skargaarden has procedures and authorisation restrictions in  place to prevent unauthorised access.
