Great, stylish design for outdoor spaces is easy to achieve with Skargaarden objects. The amazing final design in exclusive high-end indoor projects is often forgotten outdoors. Great, stylish design for outdoor spaces is easy to achieve if you use matching outdoor accessories. We are launching additional accessories to the objects collection.
SKARGAARDEN OBJECTS is about art, artisans, crafts and producing in the most environmentally friendly way with sustainable materials found in our producers’ immediate area. And with a timeless design and not trends and colors that become outdated. We have always maintained that sustainability is about products that last, both in terms of design and that they are manufactured in such a high quality that they can be inherited by future generations.
HAVNSØ. The vases and the stoneware plate in the Havnsø ranges are in collaboration with the danish talented ceramicist Bjarne Puggard. The range is made in a beautiful rough clay by the ceramicists Bjarne Puggaard, who is active in the vicinity of Havnsø. The vases are designed based on the design idea of less is more, with Scandinavian minimalism in mind. The idea with the range’s shapes is not to stand out. The ceramic stone vases and platter are meant to enhance and decorate the environments, not to take over the scene.
VINGA. Barbro Berlin has designed the Vinga lantern. Vinga consists of a hand-turned bowl of high-fired stoneware clay and a mouth-blown glass cylinder from a local glass factory in Sweden. With the fine craftsmanship, an exciting contrast is created when the dark, rugged surface of the ceramic meets the smooth, crystal clear glass. When you fill the dish with sand from your favorite beach, you get both a reminder of the sea and the origin of the materials.
NAPPA. In collaboration with Alexander Stutterheim, we have developed Nappa, a series of woolen blankets that are produced locally on Öland. Alexander’s focus on slow fashion, skilled craftsmanship and sustainability as it has historically been done for thousands of years, is the ultimate luxury according to Alexander.
The oldest Scandinavian method of preserving wool is to pick it, pick or comb it from the sheep’s fur. Nappa means pick in Swedish. The method can only be used on species that naturally shed their winter wool. The wool is prepared by combing or carding, before it is spun into yarn or felted. Our blanket was named Nappa, in honor of sustainable wool manufacturing and its artisanal traditions.
SKOGSÖ. Anna Löwenhielm is a artisan and a ceramicist that has her studio in the Skogsö area where she produces ceramics. The vases are designed based on the design idea of less is more, with Scandinavian minimalism in mind. The idea with the range’s shapes is not to stand out. The ceramic stone vases are meant to enhance and decorate the environments, not to take over the scene.
We are thrilled about the addition of the Skargaarden Objects, and where it will take our brand. We are also curious to see all the future projects where the objects will be represented. Contact us if you are interested of knowing more.
